Tips to know what treadmill is best for you

Cajón de Sastre Blog

Yesterday,  a friend of mine asked me for advice on treadmills. He wanted to know what are the specifications he should look at for getting a proper running machine for home use. I did some search through different websites and brands, and I got quite confused with all that information. If that happened to you as well, and you are looking for a treadmill too, these tips may help you to decide what treadmill is more suitable for you.

First of all, you should know that on the market there are two types of treadmill’s controller:

  • Analogue control treadmill generally uses sensor technology. A sensor can over time be interfered with overheating, dust… Treadmills with this control system change the speed faster than the digital control ones.
  • Digital control treadmill is constant and cannot be affected with external impacts, making it much better, safer and last longer. The speed changes smoothly. JLL’s treadmills…

Now that the length on the sleeves clothing are getting shorter,  we realise that we should have fought the arm jiggle before, but no worries, here I will show some simple exercises for getting sculpted arms and shapely shoulders by using one of the sit-up weight benches at the gym, or the home use benches. Ready?

1. Dumbbell chest press on bench

Grab a pair of dumbbells and lie face up on a bench with your feet flat on the floor and your knees bent at 90 degrees. Hold the dumbbells by the sides of your chest, palms facing outward. Press your hands toward the ceiling until arms are straight, keeping weights over your chest. Lower slowly back to the starting position for one rep. By doing this exercise you will be working out chest, shoulders and triceps. Do 3 set of 10 to 12 reps.

Cajón de Sastre Blog

Via @JLL Fitness

I just wanted to share with you one of the pretty easy recipes that I cooked yesterday with my buddy gym. We got really exhausted after being on the gym’s jacuzzi (kidding). We decided to cook something quick and easy, so we came out with this pepper, tuna and scrambled eggs recipe, and a salad as accompaniment. Basically, we used everything that we had in the fridge.

Ingredients for red pepper with tuna and scrambled eggs:

  • 2 peppers (we used red and green peppers)
  • 1 can of tuna
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tbsp. of olive oil
  • A pinch of salt

Check the recipe here.

Ingredients for the salad:

  • Lettuce
  • Baked chicken leg that I cooked the day before
  • Diced ham
  • Grated cheese
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • Olive oil
  • Salt

Check the steps here.

Many people may look at themselves in the mirror and decide that they want to make a change, go on a diet, start working out BUT doing all that is usually easier said then done. Many people need some sort of motivation to get them to the gym and then to get themselves to keep going to the gym. Or when it comes to dieting many people may need a huge amount of motivation to start eating healthier. So what sort of things can you do to help with motivation?

Fit Don’t Quit

Today’s workout is an awesome full body conditioning challenge. You do not need any equipment for this workout, although I chose to use weights for a couple of the exercises. If you choose to do this workout without any equipment, double the reps of the weighted exercises. I found the double time push ups to be particularly tough!! Remember that each double time push up includes a wide push up and a tricep push up, so each 2 reps really equals 1 rep. Take breaks as needed, or modify the push ups to your knees so you can push through the reps! Make sure to record your time so you have a mark to try and beat next time.

Have fun,
